Sign up for our COVID-19 newsletter to stay up-to-date on the latest coronavirus news throughout New York A Levittown man has been arrested for allegedly driving drunk in a crash that killed a 23-year-old passenger on the Northern State Parkway in Westbury early Tuesday, New York State police said.Brian Friedrichs, 22, was driving his Mazda westbound when he lost control of the vehicle near the exit for Post Avenue, causing it to overturn several times at 4 a.m., police said.Friedrichs and his passenger, Christopher Gallina, also of Levittown, were ejected from the vehicle. Gallina was taken to Winthrop University Hospital in Mineola, where he was pronounced dead shortly later.State police investigators said the victim may have been struck by another vehicle.Friedrichs was charged with vehicular manslaughter and driving while intoxicated. He will be arraigned at First District Court in Hempstead.Anyone with information on this case is asked to call the state police Bureau of Criminal Investigations at 516-561-8492.
