The new Galaxy M line has helped the company get off to a pretty successful start this year by offering affordable phones with great displays and hardware. The Galaxy M20 was launched starting at Rs 10,990, but during the Amazon Summer Sale the device will be available for Rs 9,990.The Galaxy M20 is easily one of Samsung’s best affordable phones in the market right now. Not only does it offer a stunning Infinity-V display, but it also comes with a monster battery life and a new Exynos 7904 chipset that’s actually pretty decent. In addition to all of this, the Galaxy M20 also offers an ultra wide-angle camera, which is alway a useful feature to have around. The Galaxy M20 is already a great option at Rs 10,990, but during the Amazon Summer Sale, its price drops to under Rs 10,000, which makes it even more attractive than ever before.– One of the most attractive qualities about the Galaxy M20 is its bezel-less waterdrop display. The Galaxy M20 sports a 6.3-inch FHD+ display with thin bezels all around, offering a wonderfully immersive viewing experience. You also get a guarantee that you’re getting one of the best display panels in this segment. The display is sharp and vivid with punchy colours and excellent viewing angles. It is honestly the best display if you love to watch movies or play games on the go. It is also one of the few devices under Rs 10,000 that come with Widevine L1 support for true HD streaming on platforms like Netflix and Prime Video.advertisement– The other big feature that should excite you is the battery life. The Galaxy M29 houses a 5,000mAh battery, which is easy a two-day battery life. Even if you really push the device to its extremes, run a bunch of games and stream videos for a few hours, the battery should hold up just fine and get you through a full day with ease. The icing on the cake is that you get a Type-C port and 15W fast charging support out-of-the-box. — Samsung has been launching most of its phones with an ultra wide-angle camera, which makes sense. The lens is quite useful when you find yourself in a closed space and want to capture a large group of people or big monuments. The camera app lets you quickly switch to the ultra wide-angle lens to fit more area into the frame. Overall, the cameras are decent for their price and even better for under Rs 10,000.– While one of the downsides is that the Galaxy M20 runs on a dated Android Oreo, the customised Experience UI 9.5 that rests on top is pretty clean, lightweight and efficient. It is one of the better, more reliable skins you can find in this segment. You won’t find a lot of ads or pre-loaded apps cluttering the screen. The UI is easy to get used to and Samsung has promised Android Pie update for the Galaxy M20 later this year.– And then we have the chipset. The new Exynos 7904 processor powering the Galaxy M20 is smooth and consistent enough for basic day-to-day tasks like messaging or social media browsing. The chipset is quite energy efficient, which in turn allows for better battery life. It can even run games like PUBG and Asphalt 9 smoothly on medium graphics. However, you cannot stress the chipset too much or you will see some slowdown and lag.– The Galaxy M20 should be considered if you are particularly after a great display and battery life under Rds 10,000. In these two cases, the M20 performs exceptionally. It may not be the best camera phone out there, but it does offer a wide-angle lens that is unique to this segment. The Galaxy M20 will be available for Rs 9,990 during the Amazon Summer Sale starting May 4. If you’re an Amazon Prime member, you can get hold of the M20 with its discount on May 3 starting 12pm.ALSO READ | Samsung Galaxy M20 review: Great display, superb battery life make for a good startGet real-time alerts and all the news on your phone with the all-new India Today app. Download from Post your comment Do You Like This Story?
