With destinations brimming with tourists in Jaipur, tourism stakeholders are all set for the year-end celebrations. It is the government’s initiative to launch night tourism that is responsible for the footfall of tourists.“Night tourism began at a slow but steady pace. But over the last two days of 2015, the influx of tourists has broken all records. Since Christmas, we have been getting a footfall of 14,000 tourists per day. This rush is anticipated till January 10. Recently, on a single day nearly 14,703 came to the Amber Fort. The per-day income of the Amber Fort is nearly `17 lakh,” said Pankaj Dharendra, Superintendent, Amber Fort.Jaipur is welcoming the maximum tourist flow from New Delhi as they had planned their New Year celebrations in the city. “Majority of the budget to luxury hotels are full to the capacity. It is good to see a huge percentage of tourists coming from Delhi,” said Sanjay Kaushik, a Jaipur-based tour operator. The extended weekend has added to the new-year revelry.
